Translations between Dutch to Italian and Italian to Dutch are my main area of specialization and one of the services I offer as a professional freelance translator.
To ensure optimal results, I maintain direct contact with the client and personally oversee each project in order to guarantee accuracy, reliability, and rapid turnaround times. If this is what you need in a Dutch/Italian translator, then I am the right person for you.
If translating simply meant replacing the words in language X with the same words in language Y, you could just use an automatic translation service. Translators like me would not exist.
For me, translating between Dutch and Italian means taking the grammatical and lexical characteristics of the Dutch language into careful consideration. This is why I do not make use of any type of machine translation for my professional work.
Dutch is a West Germanic language. The official language of the Netherlands, it is also an official language of the Brussels-Capital and Flanders regions of Belgium.
Italian is the official language of Italy, an official language of some neighboring countries (Switzerland, San Marino, Vatican City), and one of the official languages of the European Union.
It is one of the Romance languages, which means it derives, like Spanish, French, Portuguese, Romanian, and certain minor languages, from Latin, the language of ancient Rome (and still the official language of the Catholic Church).
Modern Italian is based on and evolved from the Florentine vernacular as it was written and spoken in Tuscany in medieval times and during the Renaissance.
It is the mother tongue of approximately 60 million people in Italy and an additional 4 million Italians who reside abroad. It is also one of the most widely spoken languages in other countries, for about 3 million people.
It is spoken as a second language in Malta, Albania, the principality of Monaco, and Corsica, and in neighboring areas of France, Slovenia, Croatia, and Austria.
Translating texts from Dutch to Italian requires great precision. For professional purposes, the task must be entrusted to a skilled translator.
I provide reliable, serious, and complete translation services from Dutch into Italian and Italian into Dutch.
I have developed specializations in various sectors over the course of my twenty years’ experience.
My familiarity with the terminology and style used in each of these areas enables me to offer my customers optimal results.
For many transactions, public authorities and administrative bodies in both Italy and abroad require that you submit sworn translations. I take care of sworn translations personally, certifying under oath before an officer of the Court that the translated text is a faithful translation of the original.
The hard copy folder of a sworn translation provided to the client is thus composed of the original text (also in the form of photocopies), the translation, and the sworn statement.
